Lumix Simple Viewer Problems

Each time we import photos from our Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ5 camera it creates duplicate copies on the software. Now it even seems to be creating duplicates when we view them on the PC! Can anyone help?...

I have tried to open the memory card but it doesn't open.What do i do?

Camera will not turn on.

I have tried changing the battery to no avail. Screen will not light up nor will the lens open....
